abstract The present invention provides a novel pyrrole derivative containing a chemically and electrochemically polymerizable pyrrole unit and a perylene diimide unit capable of absorbing light, and a photosensitive film using the same. A pyrrole derivative having a specific structure in which a phenoxy group is substituted at positions C-1, C-6, C-7, and C-12 of a perylene diimide unit and a pyrrole unit is contained at a terminal portion thereof.
