abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the clogging of a carrier due to adhesion of organic solids and other foreign matters which are difficult to solubilize and improve the contact efficiency between the fermentation broth and the carrier, thereby improving the fermentation efficiency. A fermentation treatment method and a methane fermentation tank are provided. SOLUTION When slurryed organic waste is put into a methane fermentation tank 10 and subjected to methane fermentation by anaerobic microorganisms, a plurality of pieces suspended from a support 11 are suspended in the methane fermentation tank 10. The support | carrier 12 is arrange | positioned, the support body 11 is driven, the biogas and fermentation sludge adhering to the support | carrier 12 are removed, and the fermentation liquid L in the methane fermentation tank 10 is stirred.
