abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure the oil return property of refrigeration oil of an electric compressor that absorbs and compresses carbon dioxide refrigerant, and suppresses the leakage current of the electric compressor to an allowable value or less. SOLUTION: As a refrigerating machine oil used for hermetic electric compressors 1A and 1B for absorbing and compressing carbon dioxide refrigerant, a plurality of oils are mixed so as to have a maximum dielectric constant of 3.0. By using a refrigerating machine oil with good compatibility, oil return to the compressor, which was a problem when using an incompatible refrigerating machine oil alone, is secured and wear at the sliding part of the compressor is prevented. At the same time, the leakage current of the electric compressor, which has been a problem when a compatible refrigerating machine oil is used alone, is suppressed to a legally allowable value or less.
