abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic toner for two-component developer having a charging characteristic such that toner charge amount is rapidly increased by rubbing with a carrier and does not overcharge, and an image forming method using the same. The image forming method preferably uses a two-component developer, and has magnetic toner particles containing at least a binder resin and magnetic powder, and the magnetic powder has an average particle size of 0.01 to. The octahedron 2 is a convex polyhedron having a particle shape of 0.50 μm and surrounded by eight triangles, and each vertex 1b and ridge line 1a of the octahedron 2 are curved and projected. A toner carrier on which at least a magnetic toner charged with a magnetic toner containing a magnetic toner including a magnetic powder having a portion that can be regarded as a straight line on the outer periphery of the image and a carrier is carried is opposed to the latent image carrier.
