[PROBLEMS] To cultivate cells and organs, etc., comprising a hydrophilic polymer obtained by polymerizing a polyimide silicone resin and a hydrophilic monomer, which are easy to synthesize and purify, and excellent in properties such as gel strength, transparency, oxygen permeability and refractive index. A transparent gel that can be used for a substrate, a container for use in storage, an ophthalmic lens material, and the like is provided. A transparent gel comprising a specific transparent polyimide silicone resin soluble in an organic solvent and a hydrophilic polymer obtained by polymerizing a hydrophilic monomer, and having a mutual network structure of the transparent polyimide silicone resin and the hydrophilic polymer.
