abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing colored particles having high darkness in a short time by dyeing polymer particles having a very high degree of crosslinking. SOLUTION: To 100 parts by weight of all monomers, 60 to 100 parts by weight of a crosslinkable monomer having 2 or more unsaturated double bonds and a non-crosslinkable monomer having one unsaturated double bond. A method for producing colored particles characterized in that polymer particles obtained by polymerizing 0 to 40 parts by weight are dyed in a supercritical fluid or subcritical fluid, and the colored particles are used as spacers for liquid crystal display elements.
