abstract An optical element is obtained by rubbing a long substrate film by cleaning a rubbing cloth of a rubbing roll and performing hair leveling. The surface of a rubbing roll is sprayed with variable air to remove dust such as rubbing dust adhering to the rubbing cloth of the rubbing roll and to arrange the rubbing hair.
