abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for constructing a porphyrin aggregate expected to be useful as a light collecting system. SOLUTION: A fiber-like assembly organized in one dimension is constructed by inclusion of porphyrin molecules inside a polysaccharide, particularly β-1,3-glucan. Mixing β-1,3-glucan in a single-stranded state with porphyrin (preferably porphyrin having a central metal of zinc and a modified functional group of 5,10,15,20-tetrakiscarboxyphenyl) Can be prepared.
