abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photothermographic material having an improved coated surface shape and improved color tone change during continuous processing. An image forming layer containing at least a photosensitive silver halide, a non-photosensitive organic silver salt, a reducing agent and a binder, and at least one non-photosensitive layer are provided on at least one surface of a support. The photothermographic material is characterized in that at least one of the image forming layer and the non-photosensitive layer contains at least one selected from the following modified polyvinyl alcohol groups of A, B, and C: . Modified polyvinyl alcohol A: Modified polyvinyl alcohol having an α-olefin having 1 to 4 carbon atoms as a copolymerization component; Modified polyvinyl alcohol B: polyvinyl alcohol having an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid as a copolymerization component; Modified polyvinyl alcohol C: Polyvinyl alcohol having an ethylenically unsaturated monomer having a primary amino group or a secondary amino group as a copolymerization component.
