titleOfInvention | Cleaning method for amorphous silicon photoconductor |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning method in which an image flow under high humidity does not occur in a medium / high speed copying machine using an amorphous silicon photoconductor and not using a drum heater. An amorphous silicon photoconductor is used, without a drum heater for adjusting the temperature of the amorphous silicon photoconductor, the surface of the amorphous silicon photoconductor is corona-charged, and an electrostatic latent image is formed by exposure to particles. The electrostatic latent image is developed with a toner having a cubic or rectangular parallelepiped shape and having a number average particle diameter of 30 nm to 300 nm as an external additive, and the developed toner is transferred to a transfer material. In this cleaning method, when the transfer residual toner remaining on the amorphous silicon photoconductor after the transfer is removed from the amorphous silicon photoconductor, cleaning is performed by a blade-like member in contact with the roller-like member that contacts the amorphous silicon photoconductor.
