[MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] (1) Preservative enhancer for preservatives containing amphiphilic galactose derivative (A) as an active ingredient, (2) Amphiphilic galactose derivative (A) 0.01 to 30% by mass and antiseptic Preservative strength enhancing composition containing 0.01-1.0% by mass of agent (B), and (3) 0.01-30% by mass of amphiphilic galactose derivative (A) in antiseptic composition This is a method for enhancing the antiseptic power of the preservative composition in which the agent (B) coexists.
