PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition for ink-jet recording capable of stably ejecting ink droplets stably in a long-time ink-jet recording, and capable of forming a high-quality image without streak unevenness or ink bleeding for a long time. An inkjet recording method is provided. SOLUTION: For ink jet recording, comprising charged particles containing a coloring material, a dispersion medium, and a polymer having a polyurethane structure and having a polymer segment soluble in the dispersion medium at a polyurethane chain end. An ink composition and an ink jet recording method characterized by causing ink droplets to fly by an ink jet recording method using an electrostatic field using the ink composition.
