titleOfInvention | Method for producing water absorbent resin |
abstract | The present invention provides a production method capable of producing a water-absorbent resin having a small content of residual monomers and water-soluble components regardless of the polymerization method. The content of the dimer acid (salt) based on the weight of (A) is at least 50% by weight based on the number of moles of the acrylic monomer (A) and 0.5% by weight. It comprises a polymerization step of polymerizing the content of iron atoms in the polymerization liquid at 5 × 10 −6 wt% or less based on the weight of (A) using the following acrylic monomer (A). A method for producing a water absorbent resin is used. The water-absorbent resin produced by the production method of the present invention is useful for sanitary products such as disposable diapers, sanitary napkins and medical blood retention agents. Pet urine absorbent, mobile toilet urine gelling agent and freshness preservation agent such as fruits and vegetables, meat and seafood drip absorbent, cold insulation agent, disposable warmer, battery gelling agent, water retention agent for plants and soil, condensation It can also be used for applications such as inhibitors, water-stopping agents, packing agents, and artificial snow.
