abstract |
A method for producing a catalyst and a catalyst produced therefrom are provided. The present invention is a method for producing a mixed metal oxide catalyst comprising: a) providing an aqueous solution of one or more metal oxide catalyst precursors; b) one or more metal oxide catalyst precursors. Adjusting the pH of the body solution between 1.0 and 4.0; c) irradiating an aqueous solution of one or more metal oxide catalyst precursors in a microwave chamber at one or more microwave frequencies. And d) a process comprising recovering the mixed metal oxide catalyst. The present invention describes a method for producing a mixed metal oxide catalyst, which combines microwave irradiation and hydrothermal treatment of one or more mixed metal oxide precursors.
