Disclosed is an epoxy-modified polysiloxane that exhibits excellent light resistance and excellent adhesion and is useful for sealing a light-emitting element. A thermosetting composition for sealing a light-emitting element, comprising a modified polysiloxane having two or more organic groups having an epoxy unit in one molecule, wherein the modified polysiloxane is: A thermosetting composition for sealing a light emitting device, characterized by satisfying A) to (C) at the same time. (A) The molecular weight peak value Mp of the modified polysiloxane is 1,000 or more. (B) Epoxy equivalent WPE is 90 or more and less than 320. (C) Low molecular weight content with a molecular weight of 1,000 or less in the modified polysiloxane is 15% or less. [Selection figure] None |
