PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel compound useful as an antibacterial agent against anti-Propionibacterium species. The present inventors have succeeded in isolating a novel cyclic compound having excellent antibacterial activity against anti-Propionibacterium species from Streptomyces sp. Strain Q47152. did. A pharmaceutical composition containing the compound as an active ingredient is useful as an antibacterial agent, particularly a therapeutic agent for acne vulgaris. The present invention also relates to a novel strain that produces the compound and a method for producing the compound using the strain. [Selection] None |
