abstract Disclosed is an acrylic fiber that has good dispersibility of carbon nanofibers in the fiber and can sufficiently exhibit various physical properties derived from the carbon nanofibers, a method for producing the same, and a carbon fiber. An acrylonitrile polymer, a carbon nanofiber, a dispersant for the carbon nanofiber, a solvent, and a spinning stock solution are discharged from a spinneret and solidified to solidify the acrylonitrile polymer and the carbon nanofiber. An acrylic fiber containing a fiber and a dispersant is used, and the acrylic fiber is baked to obtain a carbon fiber. [Selection] Figure 1
