titleOfInvention | Retardation plate, optical film, and image display device |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high birefringence, a relatively thin layer, and a phase difference of about λ / 2 or about λ / 4 with respect to light having a wavelength λ in almost the entire visible light region. A phase difference plate exhibiting the wavelength dispersion of the above is provided. A retardation comprising a single layer film in which a polymer material containing a birefringent chain polymer having a structure represented by the general formula (I) as a repeating unit (A) and a liquid crystal monomer is aligned. Board. However, in the general formula (I), R 1 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms. R 2 and R 6 are each independently a hydrogen atom, a linear or branched alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, a linear or branched alkoxy group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, or a carbon number of 1 -4 linear or branched thioalkoxy group, halogen, nitro group, amino group, hydroxyl group or thiol group (provided that R 2 and R 6 are not hydrogen atoms at the same time). R 3 to R 5 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or a substituent. [Chemical 1] [Selection figure] None |
