PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an electroless plating film having excellent adhesion by chemically bonding a silane coupling agent in a state of adhesion or hydrogen bonding to a glass substrate surface by a dehydration condensation reaction. The present invention provides a plating method and a method for producing a magnetic recording medium using the same. SOLUTION: At least an adhesion layer forming process S2, a catalyst layer forming process S3, a catalyst activation process S4, and a silane coupling of the adhesion layer are formed on a glass substrate surface using a silane coupling agent solution. After sequentially performing a drying process S7 for chemically bonding the agent to the glass substrate surface, an electroless plating S8 is performed. [Selection] Figure 1 |
