abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a precursor prepolycondensate of resorcin resin having a low molecular weight as much as possible in order to obtain fluidity. Therefore, the reaction amount of formaldehyde with resorcin is reduced. However, the lower the molecular weight, the higher the content of unreacted resorcin that causes various obstacles. For this reason, the appearance of a resorcin resin having a low content of unreacted resorcin and excellent fluidity is desired. SOLUTION: Resorcin is dissolved in a good solvent of resorcin having a solubility parameter of 9.0 or more, and reacted by adding formaldehyde and an acidic catalyst, and has a boiling point higher than that of the good solvent and is compatible with the good solvent. Add a large amount of resorcin poor solvent with a parameter of 9.0 or less than the good solvent, then remove most of the good solvent by distillation, transfer the remaining reaction liquid to another container when heated, and deposit in the reaction container The resorcin resin with low unreacted resorcin content and excellent fluidity can be produced. |
