abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording medium having a backing layer for increasing the strength and gradient of a write magnetic field in the recording layer, an information recording medium capable of suppressing noise generation at the time of signal reproduction, a manufacturing method thereof, and an information storage device. A first backing layer 3 formed of a substrate 2, a recording layer 8 and a soft magnetic material, and a second backing layer 4 whose compensation temperature is a signal reproduction temperature are provided on the substrate 2 with the first backing layer. The layer 3, the second backing layer 4, and the recording layer 8 are laminated in this order. In the above configuration, the leakage magnetic flux from each of the backing layers 3 and 4 that causes noise during signal reproduction is suppressed, and at the time of signal recording, the recording magnetic field generated from the magnetic head by each of the backing layers 3 and 4 is recorded on the recording layer. 8 can be concentrated. Therefore, even in the information recording medium having the backing layers 3 and 4, an information storage device that can suppress noise caused by the backing layers 3 and 4 during signal reproduction can be provided.
