titleOfInvention Memory element and memory
abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory element capable of obtaining a sufficient output when reading recorded information and reducing a current value required for writing by improving spin injection efficiency. Magnetization pinned layers 11 and 15 are provided above and below a storage layer 13 that retains information according to the magnetization state of a magnetic material via spacer layers 12 and 14, respectively, and the magnetization pinned layers 11 above and below the storage layer 13 are provided. 15, the directions of the magnetizations M 1 and M 3 of the ferromagnetic layers 11 and 15 closest to the storage layer 13 are opposite to each other, and the direction of the magnetization M 2 of the storage layer 13 changes by passing a current in the stacking direction. Thus, information is recorded on the storage layer 13, and the storage element 10 in which the areas of the two upper and lower spacer layers 12 and 14 of the storage layer 13 are different is configured.
