PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery packaging material excellent in formability in which molding defects such as wrinkles in aluminum and pin holes and cracks do not occur in aluminum, and further packaging as a battery packaging material. It is an object of the present invention to provide a packaging material for a battery which does not cause slip agent accumulation, bleed out, slippage deterioration, and the like in the process from the manufacture of the material to the battery. A battery packaging material comprising at least a base material layer, an aluminum foil, a chemical conversion treatment layer, and a heat-adhesive resin layer, wherein an azo group-containing polydimethylsiloxane amide is used as an initiator on the surface of the base material layer. A battery packaging material comprising a surface layer made of a polydimethylsiloxane block copolymer produced by copolymerizing a vinyl copolymer. [Selection] Figure 1 |
