titleOfInvention | Magnetic recording medium |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic recording medium excellent in electromagnetic conversion characteristics and running stability. [Solution] A magnetic recording medium having a magnetic layer on one side of a support and a backcoat layer on the other side, wherein the magnetic layer has a particle diameter of 5 to 50 nm and is composed of a rare earth-transition metal-metalloid. It contains magnetic particles made of a single crystal and a binder, and the number of protrusions having a height of 50 nm or more from the surface of the backcoat layer is 30 to 200 (pieces / (265 × 350 μm 2 )) or less. A magnetic recording medium is characterized. [Selection figure] None |
