The present invention provides a method for producing a film having a honeycomb structure which is useful as a cell culture substrate and has excellent biocompatibility. A solution comprising a biodegradable polymer, a phospholipid, and an organic solvent is cast on a substrate in an atmosphere having a relative humidity of 50 to 95%, and the organic solvent is gradually evaporated, and at the same time, the casting solution. A method for producing a biodegradable polymer film having a honeycomb structure, characterized by causing condensation on a surface and evaporating fine water droplets generated by the condensation.
