abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent transfer omission due to toner aggregation at a contact portion between a transfer belt and a photosensitive member, and effectively suppress contamination of the transfer belt, and particularly to obtain a print image continuously at a high speed for a long period of time. In addition, the present invention provides an image forming method and an image forming apparatus that can maintain high-reliability, high-definition, and high-quality print quality. The amount of penetration i of the transfer belt into the surface of the photoreceptor is in the range of 0% <i ≦ 5% of the photoreceptor diameter d, and the toner includes toner particles containing a binder resin and a colorant, and inorganic fine powder. A uniaxial collapse stress of 0.1 to 3.0 kPa when the toner has a maximum compaction stress of 5 kPa, and a uniaxial collapse stress of 2.5 to 2.5 kPa when the maximum compaction stress of the toner is 20 kPa. ~ 6.0 kPa.
