An object of the present invention is to provide a method for producing an electromagnetic wave shielding light-transmitting window material by forming a plating layer with a uniform film thickness on a mesh-like conductive layer, and a simple plating apparatus advantageous for that purpose. A plating tank filled with a plating solution, an anode electrode disposed in the plating tank, and a material to be plated to which a cathode voltage is simultaneously applied to the anode electrode.
