abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for arbitrarily producing an ethylene / α-olefin copolymer having various molecular weights, densities, molecular weight distributions, and composition distributions with high productivity. The following general formula (a) A metallocene catalyst (A) satisfying r = Cpoly / Crea ≧ 0.08 (a) and a metallocene catalyst (B) satisfying the following general formula (b) r = Cpoly / Crea <0.08 (b) Then, at least one kind is used, and ethylene and an α-olefin having 3 to 20 carbon atoms are copolymerized under polymerization conditions of a temperature equal to or higher than the melting point of the copolymer and a pressure of 40 to 400 MPa.
