titleOfInvention | Method for producing vinyl acetate resin emulsion, vinyl acetate resin emulsion prepared by the production method, and aqueous adhesive |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of producing a vinyl acetate resin emulsion having good stability by seed polymerization of vinyl acetate in an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin emulsion. SOLUTION: A method for producing a vinyl acetate resin emulsion is a method in which vinyl acetate is seed-polymerized in an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin emulsion, and all vinyl acetate is introduced into a reaction system. The ratio (X) of vinyl acetate introduced to the total amount of vinyl acetate introduced by 25% of the time required and the gel fraction (Y) of the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin emulsion are as follows ( Under the conditions of a) or (b), introducing vinyl acetate into the reaction system so that the ratio (X) is 5% by mass or more and less than 25% by mass, and seed polymerizing vinyl acetate. Features. (a): When the ratio (X) is 5% by mass or more and less than 10% by mass, the gel fraction (Y) is 40% by mass or more; (b): The ratio (X) is 10% by mass or more and When it is less than 25% by mass, the gel fraction (Y) is 15% by mass or more [Selection] None |
