A photosensitive drug comprising a fluorescent semiconductor quantum dot surface-treated with a polycarboxylic acid compound bound to a substance capable of selectively binding to a target cell. And mixing a fluorescent semiconductor quantum dot with a polycarboxylic acid compound having two or more COOH groups and a thiol group, binding the compound to the fluorescent semiconductor quantum dot via a sulfur atom, and then via the COOH group A method for producing a photosensitive drug, comprising binding a substance that can selectively bind to a target cell.
