Electron emitter assembly and method for generating an electron beam |
abstract |
The position of an X-ray beam is changed by changing the position of the electron beam without rotating the electron emission device about an axis. An electron emitter assembly includes a laser (80) that emits a first light beam (96) and a second light beam (98), and the first light beam to a first of a photocathode (116). To a first operating position that reflects toward the second region (122) and to a second operating position that reflects the second light beam toward the second region (140) of the photocathode. It includes a configured mirror (92). The photocathode emits a first electron beam when the first light beam contacts the first region, and emits a second electron beam when the second light beam contacts the second region. Is configured to do. The electron emitter assembly further includes an anode (118) configured to receive the first and second electron beams from the photocathode. [Selection] Figure 1 |
