titleOfInvention Method and apparatus for decomposing volatile organochlorine compounds
abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED To efficiently perform treatment by a decomposition method in which light is irradiated in the presence of chlorine even when a large amount of a volatile organic chlorine compound is treated at a low concentration. SOLUTION: A large amount of a medium containing a low concentration volatile organic chlorine compound is circulated through an adsorber filled with an adsorbent capable of adsorbing and desorbing a volatile organic chlorine compound. Volatile organic chlorine compounds are recovered by recovering chlorine compounds in the adsorber and then desorbing / discharging VOC from the adsorber by bringing a gas containing water vapor into contact with the adsorbent in the adsorber and cooling the desorbed gas. A small amount of high-concentration volatile organic chlorine compound vaporized from the condensate is irradiated with light in the presence of chlorine, and decomposition by-products are decomposed in the latter stage.
