titleOfInvention Exhaust purification device
abstract The present invention provides an exhaust emission control device that can satisfactorily oxidize an unburned component of a gas fuel such as natural gas from an exhaust temperature lower than before. The present invention relates to an exhaust gas purification device for a CNG engine 1 (gas engine) using natural gas (a gas fuel containing methane as a main component), and an exhaust gas 8 is provided at an outlet portion (upstream side of an exhaust passage) of an exhaust manifold 7. A plasma generator 9 for generating plasma by discharging inside is provided, a pre-oxidation catalyst 15 is provided on the downstream side of the plasma generator 9, and a main oxidation catalyst 16 is provided on the downstream side of the pre-oxidation catalyst 15. Methane, which is an unburned component of natural gas, is converted into methyl free radicals (.CH 3 ) by the discharge of the plasma generator 9 so that an oxidation reaction easily occurs, and this is efficiently oxidized by the pre-oxidation catalyst 15 and the main oxidation catalyst 16.
