Provided is a plant seed germination rate improving agent comprising as an active ingredient a microorganism belonging to the genus and having a plant seed germination rate improving action (and further a growth promoting action). Examples of the active ingredient microorganism include Trichoderma atroviride SKT-1 (FERM P-16510), SKT-2 (FERM P-16511), SKT-3 (FERM P-17021), Bacillus sp. D747 (FERM BP-8234) etc. are illustrated.
