titleOfInvention Air-fuel ratio control device for internal combustion engine
abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air-fuel ratio control device for an internal combustion engine which can optimally control the air-fuel ratio and exhibit good purification performance without being affected by individual differences of O 2 sensors on the downstream side of the catalyst or catalyst deterioration. A reference distribution width ΔA / F0 is set as a fluctuation state of an air-fuel ratio that can maximize the purification performance of the catalyst, while a distribution width ΔA / F is calculated from the frequency distribution of the air-fuel ratio, and the distribution width ΔA When / F is larger than the reference distribution width ΔA / F0, the F / B gain based on the O 2 sensor output is reduced, and when the distribution width ΔA / F is less than the reference distribution width ΔA / F0, the F / B gain is increased. Thus, the distribution width ΔA / F is always controlled near the reference distribution width ΔA / F0. [Selection] Figure 3
