abstract In multi-border recording of a dual-layer DVD-R disc, if the recording positions of AVDP are adjacent to each other, AVDP data cannot be read if a disc defect occurs at the recording position. The present invention provides an optical disc recording / reproducing apparatus and an optical disc medium which can read AVDP data satisfactorily even if a disc has a defect by preventing the recording positions of the AVDP from being adjacent to each other. An optical disk recording apparatus for recording information related to position information of a file system at a position near the outermost periphery of a border area of a write-once optical disk having a plurality of recording layers.
