PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nuclear medicine diagnostic apparatus and a method for cooling the nuclear medicine diagnostic apparatus capable of suppressing heat generated in a signal processing apparatus from being transmitted to a radiation detector. A nuclear medicine diagnostic apparatus includes a bed that supports a subject H and an imaging device 11. The imaging device 11 includes a first substrate 20A including a radiation detector 21, and detection of the radiation detector 21. A radiation detector including a signal processing device for inputting a signal and having a unit substrate 20 having a second substrate 20B coupled to the first substrate 20A via a connector C1, and formed in the imaging device 11.
