PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and easily produce a dithiolate-based metal complex having an organic group having a carbon atom or a hydrogen atom at a bonding position. The compound represented by formula (1) is reacted with a base and then reacted with a metal compound, followed by an oxidation reaction in the presence of an acid. {In Formula (1), R 1 and R 2 each independently represents an optionally substituted organic group having a carbon atom at the bonding position or a hydrogen atom. R 1 and R 2 may be combined to form a ring. X represents an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom. } |
