A method for assessing the likelihood of recurrence of colorectal cancer in a patient diagnosed with or treated for colorectal cancer. A prognosis of colorectal cancer is predicted by creating a gene portfolio including a gene group consisting of gene profiles and analyzing the expression of the gene group.
