abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative lithographic printing plate precursor capable of recording with high sensitivity, excellent printing durability and good storage stability (raw storage stability), particularly a negative suitable for direct drawing with an infrared laser beam. A lithographic printing plate precursor having an image recording layer containing (A) an infrared absorbing dye, (B) a polymerization initiator, (C) a sensitization aid, and (D) a polymerizable compound on a support. The oxidation potential Eox (C) of the (C) sensitizing aid and the oxidation potential Eox (A) of the (A) infrared absorbing dye satisfy the following relational expression (I), and the (B ) A lithographic printing plate precursor wherein the reduction potential Ered (B) of the polymerization initiator and the excited oxidation potential Eox * (A) of the (A) infrared absorbing dye satisfy the following relational expression (II).
