titleOfInvention Plate-formaldehyde scavenger
abstract The present invention provides a plate-form formaldehyde capturing material capable of capturing formaldehyde, which is a causative substance of sick house syndrome, grasping the capturing state, and easily recognizing the replacement time. A sheet containing chitosan, on which one side of the sheet is coated or impregnated with a color former for detecting formaldehyde and further coated with a resin. As the color former for detection, a compound of the following general formula (2) is preferable. R 3 to R 7 are each independently hydrogen, a linear or branched alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, a halogen, a hydroxyl group, a nitro group, a carboxyl group, or an amino group (including a quaternary ammonium salt).
