PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply an electrolytic solution composed of a room temperature molten salt to a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery with a small battery capacity under high load, oxidative decomposition of the electrolytic solution, and a short charge / discharge cycle life. There was a problem of becoming. The non-aqueous electrolyte contains an onium compound, a lithium salt, and a chain carbonate having a C═C unsaturated bond. Furthermore, the oxidative decomposition of electrolyte solution is further suppressed by containing the cyclic carbonate which has a C = C unsaturated bond. If at least one selected from the group consisting of ethylene carbonate, propylene carbonate, butylene carbonate, and γ-butyrolactone is included, the cycle characteristics are further improved.
