abstract | Provided is a photoconductive imaging member having a hole barrier layer that has excellent wear resistance and has many advantages such as preventing or suppressing dark injection. A photoconductive member according to the present invention includes a hole blocking layer, a photogenerating layer, and a charge transporting layer, and the hole blocking layer includes a metal-containing component and a binder component. The metal-containing component is a metal oxide such as TiO 2 and the binder component is preferably a phenol resin. Also, the metal oxide preferably has a size diameter of about 10 to about 100 nanometers and a primary particle size diameter of about 10 to about 25 nanometers, with an estimated aspect ratio of about 4 if necessary. The powder resistance when a pressure of about 650 to about 50 kg / cm 2 is applied is preferably about 1 × 10 4 to about 6 × 10 4 Ω / cm. [Selection figure] None |
