PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biological material adsorbent capable of selectively adsorbing and removing a pathogenic substance such as β 2 -microglobulin without adsorbing useful proteins in blood or plasma. SOLUTION: A metal (M) other than calcium is contained in an amount of 0.01 to 20% by weight, and the ratio of the number of moles of phosphorus to the total number of moles of calcium and metal (M) [(Ca + M) / P] is 1.3. A biomaterial adsorbent comprising calcium hydroxide phosphate of ˜1.55. The biological material adsorbent can selectively adsorb β 2 -microglobulin in blood while suppressing the adsorption of albumin. [Selection] Figure 1 |
