abstract | [PROBLEMS] To reduce the amount of sludge generated in a coagulation sedimentation treatment of a surfactant-containing wastewater generated from a manufacturing process of an aqueous dispersion in an electrophotographic toner manufacturing factory. A wastewater treatment method for treating surfactant-containing wastewater discharged from a step of producing an aqueous dispersion containing a surfactant and a colorant, wherein the wastewater is treated by adding a flocculant to the wastewater. The wastewater treatment method includes an agglomeration treatment step for aggregating suspended substances therein, and a concentration treatment step for concentrating the agglomerated treatment liquid to separate it into an agglomerate and treated water.
