titleOfInvention | Negative plate for alkaline storage battery and alkaline storage battery |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable alkaline storage battery in which an increase in internal pressure during abnormal charging is fundamentally interrupted and the battery does not deform. An expanded graphite is added to a negative electrode plate for an alkaline storage battery. Specifically, expanded graphite is added to the mixture layer made of a hydrogen storage alloy, or a layer made of expanded graphite is formed on the mixture layer. The expanded graphite expands as the battery temperature rises and uses an internal short circuit generated by increasing the thickness of the negative electrode plate to stop charging and suppress an increase in internal pressure.
