abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner production method capable of producing a toner having a small amount of positively charged toner, a sharp charge amount distribution and excellent in durability of a large number of sheets in a high yield and in a short time. To do. The present invention provides a toner manufacturing method in which external additive particles are subjected to a multistage external addition treatment in a plurality of times using a spherical mixing treatment tank having a water-cooled jacket on spherical resin particles containing at least a colorant. The temperature of the object in the vicinity of the tank wall that is cooled by the water cooling jacket after the first external addition process is the tank wall before the first external addition process. When the temperature is higher than the temperature of the object to be processed in the vicinity, the external additive particles in the second and subsequent stages are added, and the external addition process in the second and subsequent stages is started.
