Image forming apparatus and image forming method |
abstract |
An image forming apparatus and an image forming method effective for fixing at a low temperature are provided. An electrostatic latent image is formed by image exposure light L on a photosensitive drum 1 whose surface is uniformly charged by a charging device 3. The developing device 5 holds charged toner particles, and is brought close to the surface of the photosensitive drum 1 so that it is selectively applied only to the image portion on the photosensitive drum 1 corresponding to the potential of the photosensitive drum 1 and the charge of the toner. The toner adheres to the surface. The toner image formed on the photosensitive drum 1 is transferred onto the printing material P by the potential of the transfer charging device 7. Prior to this, the printing material P is heated by electromagnetic induction by the electromagnetic wave irradiation device 11. The printing material P to which the toner image has been transferred is sent to the fixing device 13 where the toner is fixed. [Selection] Figure 1 |
