The present invention provides a capsule wall that is not crushed even when kneaded and stirred, and that the capsule wall is difficult to be plasticized by a latent heat storage material, so that fusion and aggregation between capsules can be prevented, and a solvent such as water is used. When used in a dispersed state, it provides excellent dispersion stability, and even when used as a solid fine powder, it is easy to collect and handle, and provides a heat storage microcapsule having excellent heat storage properties. The heat storage microcapsule of the present invention is characterized in that a latent heat storage material is encapsulated in a capsule wall obtained by polymerizing a specific crystalline vinyl monomer.
