abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a fine image over a long period of time with excellent durability and at the same time, even with a fixing method in which a release oil is not applied to a fixing roller or a very small amount of oil is applied. It is possible to provide a developer for developing an electrostatic charge image that can form a color image that has an appropriate image gloss and excellent color reproducibility. Also provided is an image forming apparatus loaded with the developer for developing an electrostatic charge image. SOLUTION: A carrier having a carrier coating layer comprising at least a binder resin (A) and particles on the surface of the core, wherein the binder resin (A) contains at least an acrylic resin, and the particle diameter of the particles ( D) and a carrier in which the film thickness (h) of the coating resin is 1 <[D / h] <10, and a toner containing at least a binder resin (B), a colorant, and a synthetic ester wax.
